AIHHP members were again rewardedAIHHP members were again rewarded with commendations at the recent European Audiologists of the year awards. The commendation winners  were;

Will Parfitt of Broom Reid and Harris, Exeter, Devon.

Jo Rae of Hearing Healthcare Practice, Harpenden, Hertfordshire.

Martyn Scott of Hearing Aid Solutions, Carmarthen, Wales.

Nick Chitty of Oxford Hearing Centre, Oxford

AIHHP member Martyn Scott of Hearing Aid Solutions is the only audiologist in the UK to  win European Audiologist of the Year successive commendations. Recommendations from a number of his patients has resulted in Hearing Aid Audiologist Martyn Scott winning an industry award for the second year   running. Mr Scott, who runs Hearing Aid Solutions in Carmarthen, was presented with a certificate of commendation at the European Audiologist of the Year Awards held at Sunningdale, Berkshire.

Anita Lee is proof that tinnitus sufferers can learn to lead a relatively normal life.

FOR a brief moment Anita Lee considered taking her own life as she struggled to cope with a condition that was dominating her every waking hour.

The high pitched buzzing noise in her head would come and go and initially Anita received little help from her GP, apart from a prescription for antidepressants, until she eventually sought expert medical help and was diagnosed with tinnitus.
