AIHHP Membership: What it means & how to join

Who can apply for AIHHP membership?

Anyone with an interest in audiology and hearing aids can apply to be a Member of AIHHP.

About the membership

AIHHP consists of two main types of members: Full and Associate.

Full Members

  • Full Members represent everything from individually owned & managed practices to multi-site businesses with several dispensing hearing aid audiologists.
  • Full membership is by supported application and there are strict obligations that are placed on them to ensure the highest standards of professionalism and ethics in hearing healthcare in the UK.
  • Full members are constantly trying to set themselves apart from other hearing healthcare organisations.
  • Full members are not in competition with each other and actively support each other by sharing knowledge, experience and ideas.
  • Full Members are allowed to use the AIHHP logo and are listed on the AIHHP Website.

Associate Members

  • Associate Members are people that generally share the ideals of the association to promote higher professional standards in provision of audiological services to the client. Associate Members can be employed by a Full Member or are seeking to become a Full Member.
  • They frequently attend AIHHP’s educational days and therefore interact directly with exhibitors and speakers.
  • Because Associate Membership is voluntary (apart from those employed by Full Members), they take a keen and active interest in AIHHP’s Education Meetings.

Honorary Members

Honorary Membership is awarded to individuals for special contribution to the Profession and in cases where they may not meet the requirements of Full Member.
