Information about AIHHP for organisations that deal directly or indirectly with hearing related issues, including the Health Sector, Charities & Special Interest Groups, Government Bodies & Medical Insurers.
The Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals (AIHHP) is a group of leading hearing aid audiologists who are committed to promoting and maintaining the very highest professional and ethical standards in hearing healthcare within the private sector.
Membership is by invitation or application and is only open to fully qualified independent hearing aid audiologists who are dedicated to serving the needs of the hearing impaired of all ages.
By accepting the responsibility of membership each practitioner has agreed to deliver an exemplary, unbiased service in audiological assessment, independent advice, expert fitting of hearing instruments and the security of quality long-term aftercare. Mandatory on-going training programmes in new technology, instrument methodology and audiological procedures ensure that patients can confidently receive the most up-to-date help available.
The Association’s strict Code of Practice sets standards which exceed those required of other hearing aid dispensers. Every registered member has adopted defined procedures in hearing healthcare practice management, using only the highest specification testing equipment in consulting rooms and demonstrating knowledge of the most sophisticated, state of the art hearing instrument systems.
The Association of Independent Hearing Healthcare Professionals is recognised by the Government and is amongst those consulted when national policy changes in hearing healthcare provision are considered.
