Some Sad News….

Helen McLoughlin of McLoughlin Hearing Services has contacted AIHHP and asked that we share the following sad news about her father & business partner; Reg McLoughlin. Reg unfortunately lost his relatively short battle with cancer on Tuesday morning, 15th January 2013. He was 65 years old.

For those of you who knew Reg, he’d spent the last 35yrs running McLoughlin Hearing Services and in this time helped a great many people in the Sale & surrounding area of Greater Manchester with their hearing.

Reg McLoughlin

Reg worked for Scrivens in the mid 1960’s & then moved to Amplivox before setting up his business as ‘J R McLoughlin’ with Helen’s Mum in 1978. Helen joined the family business in 2001 when she was 24yrs old.

The funeral will take place on Thurs 24th January at 1pm at Dukenfield Cemetery at the following address:

Hall Green Road Dukenfield Sk16 4EP

Helen has said that anyone is welcome to attend and all are welcome back afterwards to a local hotel for drinks and nibbles.  (Please contact if you’d like the exact location details emailed to you.)

Reg’s family would like donations made to either Macmillan Cancer Support or The Christie Hospital in Manchester -this will be confirmed asap.

Reg was a true gentleman – a lovely man and all at AIHHP thank him for sharing some of his time with us.
