At AIHHP, we are committed to ensuring that the privacy of all our members and visitors is protected at all times. We will never ask for information that we do not need to help us provide you with the best possible service.

Information We Collect

There are some pieces of information we’ll need to collect from you to understand your needs when you first get in touch with us. These will be:

  • Your name
  • Your email
  • Your phone number
  • An overview of the service or support you’re seeking

Once we have a basic understanding of your needs, we may ask for more specific details to help us provide the service you’ve requested. This can include:

  • Business name
  • Business address
  • Details about your hearing healthcare practice
  • Membership information
  • Payment details for membership or event registrations

Providing us with this information is part of a contractual requirement with us. We cannot effectively support your professional needs without knowing a little more about them!

What Do We Do With That Information?

We’ll use the information you provide to understand your needs and to deliver high-quality services. In particular, we’ll use your information:

  • To assess your eligibility for membership or specific services
  • To manage and process your membership and related benefits
  • To create a planned schedule of events, training, and services
  • For internal record-keeping and analysis
  • To improve our services and tailor them to your needs
  • To inform you about other services, events, or content that may be of interest to you

We will never sell, distribute, or lease your personal information to third parties without your consent. Occasionally, we may need to liaise with other professionals or service providers about specific needs related to your membership or services. We will not do so without first informing you and obtaining your consent to share the necessary information with these third parties.

We may use data management systems to automate some aspects of our decision-making, allowing us to quickly identify trends that will help us enhance and promote our services.

Security Measures

Ensuring your data remains safe is our top priority, and we have high-quality security measures in place. We work hard to maintain the physical and digital protection of your data, ensuring that access is restricted to only those who need that information to successfully complete their work.

If it is necessary to share your personal information with third parties and we have your consent, we will ensure your data is protected during the transfer.

Controlling Your Personal Data

We understand that you may want to withdraw your consent at times and request that we stop processing your information. While we’d be sorry to see you go, we respect your wishes and will securely remove your personal information from our database.

Before doing so, we will contact you to inform you of the impending removal and offer the option to remain in our system.

If we are hosting information for your practice, we will retain your data until you notify us to shut down the service or choose to move on. At that point, we will hold your data for an additional 5 years before securely removing it from our database.
